Haven't updated this in a while - but found something really amazing in New York last week. Next to the Rockefeller Center on 6th Ave there are quite funny and contradicting signs.
First of all, I cracked up laughing when I saw the (official !!) sign "Don't even think of parking here." But there's more than that: an equivalent to the ubiquitous "No turn on red" signs that says "Stop here on red signal", below that big sign there's another contradicting one: "No stopping anytime"
New York is known for crazy traffic and chaos - not only in rush hour - but hey, maybe the Department of Transportation should think about avoiding misunderstandings like this.
